Hey folks,
Since we couldn’t get to ALL the questions during the “Social Proof” call, I decided to answer a few more… so I put together this video:

Jeff - thanks for the video and answering the questions. I have a question regarding social proof and testimonials. Is it better to have testimonials from famous people or regular people.

Hi Jeff,
Just a quick comment as I listen to the call recording and follow along with the transcript.
I wish you had at least allowed “Highlighting” on the transcript, so that I could mark the “High Points” of the call as I go. I like to highlight as I go, then copy & paste those portions that are pertinent to my situation into a document that is personalized to my needs and much easier to reference.
So, having said that…I am very appreciative that you have provided the recording & transcript for those of us who could not get on the call.

A young woman died shortly after her husband as she overworried herself of how she will raise the children as she was a full time house wife without any skill, leaving four orphan boys behind with a bleak future. I decided to give the boys a future though I don’t have the funds. I started organizing a web site which is yet to be completed to finance these orphans. I have read every word about the social proof. I was excited, I thought this will help me provide the answer to help the boys. I still strongly believe my prayers in helping the boys will now be finally answered. David

For years I have lost in the internet game not nowing why but now I know and the answer is mentors like yourself who provide the no BS answer and way to make money on any product. WoW! what an opportunity…
Entrepreneurship has allowed me to experience successes and failiures… i’ve felt ecstatic joy and heart- rending pain… i’ve rolled up my sleeves and ‘mucked in’ at a grass-roots level and sat in board rooms rubbing shoulders and nodding my head in dismay at the the ineptitude of management within corporate culture… but I have no regrets. I have tried and learnt from each experience.

Why would I use the Productlaunchformula ?
My name is Ron Buikes and I live in the Netherlands, I have a product ready, waiting for launching (my English is not so good so I hope what I write, is not double Dutch).
The product is a system to train people who need/like it to become a coach/trainer in 18 days.

jeff you’ve probley heard this befor or something like it but I’m an old drywall hanger did it for 25 years and now I’m to old to handle it. So hear I am a single parent with a 17 year old in high school and on welfare for the first time in my life I’ve been trying to get something going on the internet but so far am just going in the hole so mabey we could help each other me could start makeing money and you would have a good success story yours hopfuly James Taylor max_hot_rod@yahoo.com

I gave up my ‘day job’ as a management consultant in May of this year to pursue an internet based career - just too much pressure out there. I had been studying the arena for about a year. I have bought so many ‘tools’ but had not really got down to identifying a product or niche properly. I finally had enough and bought a course on resume writing. You can see my site at the above address. The good news is I am now - just - surviving by doing this alone and have designed automated response systems with the help of Corey Rudl’s Mailloop among other things, and joining InforProductU - Bill Hibbler and Pat O’Bryan’s venture. I have got a LOT of great advice from them. I have also produced an info product (it’s at www.top-pro-cvs.com/Minicourse/ebook.html). This fits neatly with the main site idea.
However my real love is music. I’m a classically-trained conductor and composer, and years ago was a pro trumpet player. I have been designing a practice aid for years that I have been unable to get to completion. You can see the ‘rough cut’ idea at www.themusiciansmatrix.com. From listening to your interview with Yanik, Jason and the guys, I feel that your product launch formula course could be just the tool to get the thing UP! With the eexperience I’ve had this year, and the tools and attitude-changes I’ve made this year I will do it anyway, but your course will just give it the final ‘push’, to say nothing of the marketing boost it needs. Having been the innocent victim of a very messy divorce, iam now a single parent and as a father i have to bring up 4 kids, it is very unusual for farthers to get custody of children the experience of a divorce have left me penny less and i have to turn my negative life into a positive one. I have two jobs and there is not enough days or time for me to squeeze in a third job, so i have to turn my attention to the internet, because this could give me a way out of my financial predicament. I have taken a loan to pay for the development of a site, ( this is an advertising portal) which i hope to sell products on and hopefully get some subscribers to advertise. I have no experience of the internet business and and there are so many experts offering the same info but repackaged , However having bought some information from you recently, i was very impresses with the information and the author’s sincerity. I would like this course and the guidance of the author to set me off on the right path which would lead ultimately to the success of my new internet venture

Why I need your Product Launch Course:
Many years ago I started taping the thoughts I had as I drove to and from work, and I found myself drawn to writing a book about some of them. The working title is 10% More Tolerance, and it is based on finding win-win answers for almost every problem. The concept is also known as the Positive Sum Paradigm, or the Positive Sum Game, and I talked about ways to apply it to family problems, work problems, environmental problems, even personal motivation, all sorts of situations. You use it yourself when ever you join with others in your affiliate programs to get the word out about your own products!
Since then my husband and I have started doing Life Coaching and Public Speaking. We quit driving long haul trucks in order to dedicate ourselves to our speaking careers. I just finished an E-Book writing course that helped me break my original book into three E-Books and I will have the first of those completed by the end of the month. It is about Living and Extraordinary Life, and how all of us can make small changes to create an Extraordinary Life for ourselves.
I think I have some very important things to say, and I want to get this message out to as many people as possible. There seems to be so much hate and anger and low self-esteem in the world, and I truly think that I can help. My goal is to eventually be up there with Zig Ziglar, Brian Tracy, Jim Rohn and others like them, touching others in meaningful ways and helping ordinary people live Extraordinary Lives. I found out at the beginning of this year that all my physical problems from which I have been suffering for over 15 years were from undiagnosed Lyme Disease, a form of malaria & a parasite. I was put on an extreme treatment program of heavy antibiotic & antiprotozoa Rx every day for 8 months. I could not work, had no energy & had foggy brain (as the dr. calls it). Now, I have to make up for lost time & have been working with a mentor coach to set up my website, blog, ezine & teleclasses. I have been writing like mad & have offered my classes to the local Senior Center to be of service & to practice. I have to get used to doing it all agin & am very excited at my NEW opportunities. I have written the best ever book showing how to quit smoking. It took 6 years and contains 150 pdf pages. I need advertising, a strategy, affilliates etc. Your book looks like it would be very helpful. I have pasted three sample pages below:-
ONE SMALL STEP
Congratulations. You have taken the first step to freedom from smoking. So how can this book help you to beat the most addictive drug on this planet?
Will scare tactics be employed that will shock you and cause you to refuse your next cigarette? Not intentionally. Although some aspects of smoking are frightening and horrifying, presenting them is purely coincidental. Is the writer a psychiatrist or a doctor? No. Has he discovered a way to improve willpower? No.
So what qualifies him to educate smokers on this particular very complex subject? The answer is that he discovered a way to transform himself from being a hapless heavy smoker into being a happy non-smoker. His inquisitiveness and enquiring nature has led to a hard-earned insight into why people smoke and to his assertion that every smoker can follow in his footsteps with a little persuasion and some extra knowledge based on research and experiences.
Often, the “experts” have very little credibility when preaching on a topic because they lack life experience. Such as the celibate person telling us about sex. Or the announcer, journalist, athlete, politician or movie star (often accredited as knowing everything about everything) preaching on morals, religion, politics, dieting, parenting, exercise, gardening, cooking, fashion, sport, etc
Surely, if the author can permanently overcome his habit of smoking more than 50 cigarettes a day without any help he has some credibility. To understand a smoker one needs to have “been there” and experienced the heavy burden of being hopelessly hooked on tobacco and the contrasting exhilaration of being free from the habit.
Will this book succeed? Most probably. A lady whose original assignment was to edit the grammar in a draft manuscript coincidentally and surprisingly has not smoked since. The writer was not aware that the editor was a smoker until she got back to him.
The author’s first book, “Beat Smoking for life” was not promoted on the internet but had great success with smokers who bought or were given a copy. This is an updated, improved version with more information and being an E-book is spread out making it is easier to read and there are more pages. However it is less expensive.
One early constructive criticism of the first proposed publication was “It’s been done before”. So I bought and borrowed several books, tapes and CDs and read many internet articles pertaining to this fascinating subject. And interestingly the people who loaned me their books were still smoking! It would appear that most techniques are failing, so I persevered with observations and investigations.
I discovered that those well-intended books achieve nothing. They are different to this one and most would disagree with my approach. Some are good reading but are too long with lots of anecdotes, well known facts, diaries and questionnaires about smoking habits.
They employed forgettable acronyms that had no lasting influence on the reader’s attitude to smoking and were devoid of a discernible step-by-step method of beating the habit. The message was not clear.
By the time people had finished reading certain books, they would have forgotten the purpose of the exercise and smoked a couple of cartons of cigarettes. Others are too short to be effective and are really only brochures. And the pictures of diseased organs, amputees and very sick people seems to have little or no effect. So I asked myself, “What would get through to the smokers who want to quit?” How did I eventually stop?
Why can’t Jenny quit? What’s going on?
We all know that nicotine is addictive, but because I was curious and being inquisitive, I needed to know WHY. Why couldn’t I stop? So I went ahead and for many years studied aspects of biology, chemistry, psychology, history and anything else remotely pertaining to smoking. My antenna was up. Keywords like “cancer”, “smoking”, “addiction”, etc. would attract my undivided attention.
I honestly believe I would not be here today if I did not stop smoking when I did. And if I can do it so can you. Just follow my simple advice. You’ve got nothing to lose but your smoker’s cough.
As a result of a newfound passion and possibly an obsession, I now have a better understanding of the subject and I am hereby passing on hard-earned eruditions to the reader, which expose the stupid social acceptance, the underhanded tactics of manufacturers, the makeup of and the unbelievable influence of cigarette smoke.
Then the reader is told how smoke causes addiction and harms its victims. A simple plan is presented employing proven ways to fix the problem. Finally ways are suggested to enable the quitter to avoid the many temptations to start up again that they will inevitably face later.
You will be reminded of the facts that human beings can survive for
about FOUR minutes without oxygen,
only FOUR days without water,
about FOUR weeks without food but FOREVER without tobacco.
If you decided to lose weight, wouldn’t you ask advice from someone who succeeded in slimming? If you were incapable of the self-discipline needed to regularly exercise you might employ a personal trainer who is experienced and has set up a rigid plan to follow. But it’s just a waste of money employing such an expert if you ignore their advice and treat their instructions with contempt.
It is futile to say, “I want your help but I don’t want to do anything differently.”
